This piece of music is originally written for shakuhachi (a traditional Japanese bamboo flute) and kato composed in 1929. Dr. Kris Palmer plays a wooden western flute to imitate the sound of shakuhachi.
Cafe de la Harp, an enteraining harp ensemble founded by three outstanding professional harpists, Yuki Irinouchi, Hiroko (Saito) Ishikawa and Hiroko Yasui from Japan. They have been performing extensively in and around Japan since 2001, with coordination through the Nippon Harp Association. The mission of this group is to expand the instrument harp and harp music.
