A February 1966 release for The Animal as the B side of Inside – Looking Out side, Outcast was a late 1965 release for the song's writers, Eddie & Ernie.
I bought The Animals 45 at the time as a seven year old. It was technically the second 45 I ever bought: the first was The Rolling Stones Little Red Rooster and I bought their 19th Nervous Breakdown the same day as The Animals - - and it was another 30 years before I knew Outcast was a cover version ......................A Metropolitan Soul Fave Rave ! #MetropolitanSoul @MetropolitanSoul
