In addition to learning the names of the parts, learn the basics of the plant life cycle:
1. How roots get water and minerals from the soil and send them "all around" the plant parts
2. What photosynthesis is
3. Identify different pollinators that help carry pollen from flower to flower (from the same plant or other plants)
4. Where the seeds come from (fruit) and how they grow "brand new roots" of their own, once they get into the soil.
