As I travel into the #Hardcastlezone listening to Paul Hardcastle’s beautiful music pieces, I often wonder where he gets his inspiration from. What is he thinking…or feeling…at the time he sits down and begins to compose. Is it from a place that he’s recently visited…is it from something he’s read about…something that gave him thought to put into the music…or does it come from moments of reflection…like memories in his life. But whatever the inspiration or where it comes from, Paul certainly can take it from there and lay down the fundamental parts that make his compositions embraceable. Tunes on Hardcastle 8 like Amber Sky, Turn Down the Heat, Stay in the Moment, and this featured track clearly are the examples of what I am referring to. “Breaking the Ice” has such a beautiful ambient chill flow that puts you in a serene and peaceful moment. Some of the photos in this video are of a sunset on the frozen ice waters of Baikal Lake in Siberia, Russia. Enjoy!
